Creator Intelligence — AI Insights for Instagram

~5 min read  ·  Last updated May 2026

Creator Intelligence is InstaGrow's AI-powered feature for Instagram that goes beyond raw numbers. While the Analytics tab shows you what happened, Creator Intelligence explains why it happened and what to do next.

It uses OpenAI GPT-4o (for your newest content) and GPT-4o-mini (for historical trend analysis) to analyze your Instagram post performance, identify content themes that resonate with your audience, and generate actionable ideas and hooks for future posts. Data is sourced via the Instagram Graph API.

✅ Free — Included for Everyone

Creator Intelligence is included in all InstaGrow plans at no cost. No credit card, no upgrade, no trial — just sign up and use it.

The Three Sub-Tabs

The Creator Intelligence view has three tabs:

1. Overview

The Overview tab gives you the AI's high-level summary of your account's content performance. This includes:

2. Topics

The Topics tab groups your posts into theme clusters. Instead of viewing posts one-by-one, you see your content categorized by the themes it covers — for example: "Product Demos", "Lifestyle / Motivation", "Behind the Scenes", "User Generated Content".

3. Ideas & Hooks

The Ideas & Hooks tab is where the AI generates concrete content recommendations for you. Based on your top-performing topics and formats, it produces:

How to Access Creator Intelligence

  1. Log in to your InstaGrow account. Creator Intelligence is free and available to all users.
  2. Click Creator Intelligence (🤖) in the left sidebar.
  3. If this is your first time, click Generate Insights. The AI will process your last 30–90 days of posts. This takes 30–60 seconds.
  4. Once complete, browse the Overview, Topics, and Ideas & Hooks tabs.
  5. Insights update in real time as your account data changes — no manual refresh needed.

How to Use Each Tab

1

Overview Tab — Read Your Content Health

Look at your Content Score (0–100). Anything above 65 is healthy. Below 40 — your content consistency or engagement needs attention.

Read the AI Summary paragraph in full — this is the most important thing on the page. It tells you in plain English what's actually working and what isn't in your last posting period.

Check Top-performing content type. If it says "Reels" — your next 3 posts should be Reels. Don't fight the data.

Check the Engagement Trend arrow. Warming up → keep doing what you're doing. Cooling down → go to Topics tab to find which themes are losing traction.

2

Topics Tab — Know What Your Audience Loves

You'll see your posts grouped into topic clusters — e.g., "Product Demos", "Behind the Scenes", "Motivation". Each cluster shows its average engagement rate.

Identify your top 2 clusters — these are the content themes your audience responds to most. Plan your next week's content around them.

Find your lowest-performing cluster — if a topic consistently underperforms, either stop posting it or try a completely different format for the same topic (e.g., switch from carousels to Reels).

Look at the trend direction per topic. A topic declining in reach over time needs a format refresh, even if it was strong before.

3

Ideas & Hooks Tab — Turn Insights Into Content

You'll see a list of AI-generated content ideas specific to your niche and your best-performing topics. These are not generic — they're based on your own data.

Each idea comes with a hook — the opening line of your caption or the first 2 seconds of your Reel script. Copy it directly or use it as a starting point.

Note the suggested format (Reel / Carousel / Feed post) next to each idea. The AI picks the format that historically works best for that type of content on your account.

Practical workflow: Pick 3–5 ideas from this tab, go to the Scheduler, create your posts using the hooks as your captions, and schedule them out for the week.

Understanding the AI Analysis

💡 Power user tip: Run Creator Intelligence after posting at least 10–15 posts for best results. The more data the AI has, the more specific and accurate the insights will be. Accounts with fewer than 5 posts will see generic suggestions.
