Connect Your Instagram Account

~2 min read  ·  Last updated March 2026

Before you can schedule posts, view analytics, or moderate comments, you need to connect your Instagram account. Instagrow uses the official Instagram Graph API — we never ask for your password.

⚠️ Requirement: Your Instagram account must be a Business or Creator account linked to a Facebook Page. Personal accounts are not supported by the Instagram API.

Before You Begin

Step-by-Step

1

Sign up or log in to Instagrow

Go to instagrowapp.com/signup.html and create your account, or sign in if you already have one.

2

Go to the Connected Accounts tab

In your Instagrow dashboard, click Connected Accounts in the left sidebar (the person icon). This is where all your connected Instagram accounts are managed.

3

Click "Connect Instagram Account"

Click the blue Connect Instagram Account button. You will be redirected to Meta/Facebook's official login page.

4

Authorise Instagrow

Log in with your Facebook account and grant Instagrow the requested permissions. We request only the minimum permissions needed:

  • instagram_basic — view your profile and posts
  • instagram_content_publish — publish scheduled posts
  • instagram_manage_comments — read and manage comments
  • instagram_manage_insights — access reach and engagement metrics
  • pages_read_engagement — read your linked Facebook Page
5

Select your Instagram Business account

After authorising, you will be prompted to select which Instagram account to connect. If you manage multiple accounts, you can add them all — each one creates a separate workspace.

6

You're connected!

You'll be returned to the Instagrow dashboard. Your account will appear in the Accounts tab and a first data sync will begin within a few seconds. Your analytics, posts, and comments will start appearing in their respective tabs.

💡 Tip: You can connect multiple Instagram accounts — great for agencies managing multiple clients. Each account gets its own isolated workspace and data.
