Official Instagram Graph API
InstaGrow is built exclusively on Meta's Instagram Graph API — the same official API used by all approved third-party Instagram tools. We do not use unofficial scraping, bots, or automation that violates Instagram's Terms of Service.
All actions (scheduling, reading comments, analytics) happen through Meta's secure API endpoints — your password is never shared with InstaGrow.
What Data We Access
When you connect your Instagram account, we request only the permissions we need to run the product:
Posts & media metadata
To display your content and schedule future posts
Comments on your posts
To power comment moderation rules
Follower & engagement analytics
To show you growth trends and post performance
Content publishing
Only posts you explicitly schedule through InstaGrow
What we cannot do
Follow or unfollow anyone on your behalf
Read or send your direct messages
Change your Instagram password or account settings
Access accounts you haven't explicitly connected
How Access Tokens Are Stored
When you authorise InstaGrow, Instagram issues an access token — a temporary key that lets our servers act on your behalf.
- Encrypted at rest. Tokens are encrypted before being written to our database — raw token values are never stored in plain text.
- Never shared. Your token is used only by InstaGrow's backend servers to execute actions you've configured. It is never exposed to third parties or in frontend code.
- Revocable at any time. You can disconnect your Instagram account from InstaGrow in the dashboard, or revoke access directly in Instagram's connected apps settings.
- Expiry tracking. Long-lived tokens expire after 60 days. InstaGrow monitors expiry and notifies you before your automations break.
Your InstaGrow Account Data
- What we store: your email address, username, connected Instagram account IDs, scheduled posts, moderation rules, and analytics data fetched from the Instagram API.
- No selling, ever. Your data is never sold to advertisers or data brokers. Full stop.
- Data deletion. Email akshaydhadwal2@gmail.com to request complete deletion of your account and all associated data.
- Passwords hashed. InstaGrow account passwords are hashed with bcrypt — we cannot recover or read your password.
